What happens in a Solar Eclipse is the Moon moves between the Sun and Earth blotting out the rays of the Sun. It is the beginning of a new Moon which is equated to new beginnings, attitudes and a potential new chapter in life.

With the Sun in Leo, he is in his castle on his throne, a powerful leader of his fold expecting respect and honour which is his due. When in the 29th degrees of Leo the Sun begins to connect with Regulus a fixed star, the Heart of the Lion, known for its Royalty energy.

Regulus gives off amplified ambitious take charge energy, a concurring spirit, and the desire to gain glory. For those who are abusing this power, Regulus is the star of  fallen Kings due disgraceful and abuse of power.

Regulus times the Spring equinox in the Southern Hemisphere, and the Autumn equinox in the North, new seasonal beginnings, perfect time for your…spring clean your ego.

Regulus on an eclipse can double up on the ambitious, driven, power seeking, high spirited, generous energy others and ourselves could be feeling. Along comes the Moon and eclipses this energy, oh boy that could deflate many an ego!

On the bright side once the ego has been cleansed something new can begin, it feels like a new chapter in your life where you get rid of old esteemed self values.

For many of us who feel under trodden by those with big bully like egos, a certain self-assured feeling will creep in. If you are not in control of situations in life this could be an uncomfortable feeling, but this new moon emerges from the eclipse bringing with it courage to stand up for what is right.

The eclipse energy is often felt months before it begins, if we follow the news we will notice many leaders with inflated egos are in the spotlight for negative reasons. Their power and glory is beginning to wane. Those that work with these leaders as well as their supporters will find their voices and gradually pull away from the disgraceful behaviour of said leaders.

But for us mere mortals this eclipse shifts our thinking and attitude to a more positive form of self enrichment and power. Work it, make the shift and work for your glory moments.
