Asgardia – The Space Nation: Astrologically Speaking
WILL ASGARDIA BE A GAME CHANGER FOR ASTROLOGY

Asgardia – The Space Nation: Astrologically Speaking. A proposal for a Space Nation replicating life on Earth was launched on the 18th of October this week.
I was asked if this would be a game changer as far as astrology was concerned. Could this affect us in an astrological way on earth, no it could not.
So now one can ponder on the affect, if any, astrology would have on the ‘citizens’ living in a space station?
This Asgardia space station is a project led by Igor Ashurbeyli of the International Aerospace Research Centre in Vienna. Asgardia is supposed to be a replica of life on Earth.
This project is looking at one or several core satellites and/or a protective space platform.
Satellites have no known Astrological affect beings on Earth; they are likened to meteor bodies in the sky.
But if we put humans onto a Space Nation such as Asgardia the question takes on a new meaning, will Astrology affect the beings on Asgardia and if so how?
To understand this on a deeper level we need to understand the orbit and limitations of a satellite, as essentially Asgardia will be one giant satellite. So in my own amateurish fashion I did some research to understand this phenomenon in space.
A satellite is an artificial body placed in orbit around the earth, such as space stations, space capsules and the likes of space craft.
Another type of satellite is a celestial body that orbits Earth such as the Moon or another planet. At the same time Earth and the other planets are natural satellites as they orbit around the Sun
With satellites they are allocated different orbital areas around the Earth, I was unable to establish which slot Asgardia will take, their technical aspects are limited to the public.
There are three orbit allocations; (LEO) a low earth orbit, closest to earth with an altitude of between 160 to 2,200 kilometers. The manned spaceflights and the majority of satellites take place in LEO. In fact the altitude for record of human flight in LEO was Gemini 11 with an apogee (furthest point) of 1374 kilometers. The LEO satellites function is to monitor earth.
The next allocation will be the medium earth orbit (MEO) which has an altitude of around 20,000 kilometers. The MEO satellites are used for navigation and communication purposes. This is where we access our GPS.
Then at the furthest altitude we have the geostationary orbit or GEO satellites with an orbit of over 35,786 kilometers above the earth’s equator. This orbit is period equal to the Earth’s rotational period of one sidereal day. It appear stationary from our vantage point on Earth. It resides in a fixed point from earth and does not leave its position. The GEO satellites are used for communication, TV and weather. This satellite stays at the same point or ring around the equator of Earth.
Now back to the question, Asgardia – The Space Nation: Astrologically Speaking. How can astrology affect the beings that would live in a space station.
The satellite that can safely hold humans would be the Low Earth Orbit or Near Earth Orbit. These satellites will be held on track by the Earth gravity and will complete a rotation around Earth several times experiencing many days and nights in a 24 hour period.
From the above research a person living on a satellite will be living on a body in space, their satellite will be heliocentric, rotating around the Sun as Earth does. Though this Space station is not a planet it is still a body in space with people living on it.
Asgardia will be held in place by gravity and if it is placed in a Low Earth Orbit it will be going fast, perhaps too fast to be affected in an individual way by the planets. As it hugs Earth, people on Asgardia should be affected in the same way as Earth is.
Transits will trigger events more often; one can imagine that in a Space Nation Satellite many issues could arise in a twenty four hour period. On the other hand, the events triggered will have more chances to play out.
For example if retrograde Mercury affects a satellite citizen by transit he or she may experience a slight problem in their work space, this problem will either escalate during the twenty four hour earth day, or in a six step manner be resolved quickly.
When there is a birth on Asgardia the minute, longitude and latitude of the Space Station will have to be carefully monitored. This moment and space will be the birth map of that person.
Like Earth there will be a rising sign measured from the position of the space station. All the other planets will be in the same degrees and zodiac signs as Earth; it is the houses that will be of importance. Asgardia will travel through all twelve houses plus minus six times in one 24 hour earth day.
What interests me is the zodiac area and house the station is going through, it will pass through this area several times in a 24 hour period. This would be a relevant point in the horoscope together with the rising sign.
Accuracy for the time and place of birth would be essential. The zodiac degree and sign will be the area that becomes important in that horoscope an extra point of stability. It would be the sign where the person could feel ‘at home’ or most comfortable in.
For example should the satellite be traveling through the sixth house of health and service and this house has Taurus on its cusp. This person will operate and be most effective and comfortable when it comes to practical matters in the areas of health and service.
The Sun sign will remain constant according to the position of the Sun at that time and day of birth. The reason for this is the satellite will be held in the gravity of Earth and the Sun as well as the rest of the planets will affect it in the same way.
A person on the station will in an optical manner see earth and the other planets including the Sun and Moon rotating around them as we do on Earth. To the human Earth is stationary.
The space station hence becomes an individual body which can be affected by the rays of all planets more constantly than Earth.
As science and astronomy is growing at an exponential rate it will not be surprising if a future Asgardia type of Space Station could be launched and reside in an orbital space that is period equal to Earth. This would be a Geosynchronous Equatorial Orbit (GEO) satellite.
Astrological affects on a new birth or the people residing on this Space Station will be affected in the exact same way as if they were on Earth.
Whether Asgardia is a reality now or not, the idea of astrology working and affecting humanity form this new level is interesting. Astrology will always have an effect on humanity be it from a satellite or Space Nation.
People residing on Asgardia will certainly benefit from astrology. The horoscopes will be cast as per that station and through consultations with an Astrologer, the Asgardians can plane ahead and understand their life paths.
I would be fascinated to hear what my fellow Astrologers deduce from this idea of a Space station, a game changer or not? If so in what way could astrology play a role on the citizens of Asgardia?
