From the 20^th of August 2022 right up till the end of March 2023 Mars will be transiting through Gemini. This transit of Mars will create trouble. Normally Mars will spend just under 2 Months in a sign.

Mars has a 2 year retrograde cycle and it is upon us now, when a planet goes retrograde even as it approaches its retrograde cycle the planet moves closer to earth like a super moon.

If you are a star gazer you will get some good images of Mars, I guess this is one of the few positives of Mars being so close to earth.

The advantage of Mars is Gemini is that we have the gift of a keen and witty mind; if you are a writer the urge to write will kick in. But we do need to be very aware of a heightened nervous energy which can drain our concentration before tasks have been completed. Conserving energy and working on your power of concentration is key to using Mars in Gemini energy well.

Every one of us will be affected by this transit; Mars will aspect some of our planets up to 3 times. First time triggers an event, second time brings it back and third time finally resolves the situation.

Let’s start off looking at how this can affect the weather; living on a farm I am concerned.

Mars brings extreme heat, drought, storms and wind, Gemini is generally windy. The Sun brings about hot weather but in Virgo it is a bit colder and blustery. I need to look at the violent aspects to see what could happen.

28^th August we could expect cooler blustery dry weather from the Sun and the danger of fires spreading because of the dry windy conditions of Mars

The next violent aspect occurs early in December where the Sun in Sagittarius brings double hot and dry weather, amped up by the windy extremely hot and windy conditions of Mars I think we can expect a heat wave.

Perhaps it would be wise to conserve water in tanks for this period. All this hot dry weather could create droughty conditions even affecting the levels of boreholes.

Now let’s look at how this can affect us personally and life in general.

On the 28^th of August the Sun and Mars will aspect each other by a square, two hot planets making a stress aspect which could bring a tide of wind storms, fires and explosions, on a human level clashes, outbursts of temper, conflict and generally aggressive behavior will be more intense and frequent.

This is not the best time to challenge structures and authorities, your complaints may be met with hostile reactions. Understand that how you address situations is how you will be responded to. Diplomacy with solution will be the easiest way to address issues and complaints.

A square aspect brings us challenges and lessons that we must learn. They are hard work and take a lot of energy to manage.

Expect a build up reaching a crescendo early December, a clash by opposition with the two fiery planets Mars and the Sun will occur. The Sun will be in the fiery sign of Sagittarius where his hot fiery energy takes on an expansive role and as he opposes hot fiery Mars a culmination of energies can explode such as hostility, aggression, frustration, ego driven domination and generally bad behavior.

A huge amount of ego orientated behavior will come out into the open, some of us may have the ability to step aside and look deep within to see what ego issues we have that are triggering our anger and outbursts.

An opposition aspect is managed when we are aware of how compromise and cooperation with people we are dealing with manage a stressful situation, the person who is more confident and happy within themselves can step back and balance the situation.

The final square aspect Mars makes with the Sun will be in Pisces, it is the waning square of his journey through Gemini, he will at this point be direct in motion and about to leave Gemini to move into Watery Cancer which will cool him down.

This aspect will occur mid March 2023, our ego’s in Pisces can be highly emotional, wounded and know no boundaries. When triggered in a negative way we can have an emotional tsunami which can be very destructive on many levels.

The Sun is Pisces is completely without structure; our egos have no control over what is happening, we could find martyrdom becoming too excessive, appreciation not rewarded. As individuals we feel our identity dissolving as we lose ourselves through helping others.

There could be an energetic drive to do something selflessly for others, just do not sacrifice yourself to unworthy causes. Avoid being swallowed so deeply into a cause you end up totally dissolving your own individualism.

It is a time to be aware of the energy it take others to help each other or help those in need. We can make the effort to lend a helping hand rather than turning a blind eye or criticizing the effort made.

Being compassionate, rather than impatient to those in emotional turmoil can diffuse a impending disaster. Remember to take care of yourself first a foremost, if you are happy and comfortable in your own skin you will have the correct ego energy and drive to comfort and build up others rather than breaking them down.
